Adrien GygaxBorn in Switzerland, Adrien first entered show business as a musician (piano and bass), playing in the shows Touwongka and Ratpsody with the Swiss company Evaprod. Attracted more and more by acting, he started his career as an actor-singer with the same company in the role of Forsten in Pirates.
In 2005, he started a four year stay in Paris where he trained at l’Académie Internationale de Comédie Musicale, and then at the international theatre school Philippe Gaulier. During his training, he performed in Dorian Gray and Anne, un journal musical, went on tour with the musical Clemenceau, la tranchée des baïonnettes, and performed the character of Baloo in the Le Livre de la Jungle at the Théâtre de Paris. Still very close with the team from Touwongka, he joined them to present their show in Paris and at the Avignon festival. In 2009, he acted in En souvenir du monde, a Frederic Pajak movie created to accompany the director’s next book. Back from Paris, as a song writer and a actor, Adrien participated in the creation of the musical Et si on allait à l’opéra? (Théâtre du Passage de Neuchâtel). In 2010, he has been directed by Jacinth Margarit in Ce soir on improvise by Luigi Pirandello, and John Durand directed Adrien in Jesus Christ Superstar at Théâtre Barnabé. Several workshops in Switzerland (École Dimitri), Paris (Théâtre du Soleil) and London (Spymonkey) have given him the opportunity to diversify his knowledge and skills on stage. Adrien co-created Shake!!! William Speare with the Last Baguette, and toured Europe and Canada with the show. He works extensively in film and theatre in Switzerland and France, and tours throughout the world for Teatro Malandro with director Omar Porras. |
